Dr. Joshua Long
Dr. Long is a surgical and medical weight loss specialist as well as a proponent of improving population health through lifestyle transformation and plant based whole foods eating. He completed a fellowship in bariatric surgery at UAB and is also certified in obesity medicine certification through the OMA. Dr. Long currently serves as the Medical Director for Bariatric Surgery at the AdventHealth Parker Bariatric COE. In previous years he has served as a national MBSAQIP Bariatric COE site reviewer and has also served on the OMA Obesity Algorithm Committee. Dr. Long carries an avid interest for responsible innovation in weight loss and metabolic health. He was one of the first surgeons in Colorado to promote the novel SADI-S procedure and has refined his expertise in various minimally invasive techniques including robotic surgery. As a multi-specialty weight loss provider, Dr. Long also champions using a collaborative multi-disciplinary educational approach to maximize the long-term weight loss success and the metabolic health of his patients. Dr. Long has been blessed to help many patients escape from severe weight related debilitation to regain high quality, active, and healthy lives. Many are now marathon runners, triathletes, and can sometimes be found ascending the summits of various fourteeners in our beautiful state of Colorado.
