Are you interested in bariatric surgery? Just follow the steps below to sign up for a consultation with our team. We may be able to help you lose weight, keep it off, and live the life you’ve imagined*.
We ask that you go through a full, three-step process: Calculate Your BMI, Attend a Free Online Seminar, and Schedule an Appointment. This process helps you verify that you’re a good candidate for weight loss surgery and helps you understand what life post-surgery will involve. After the seminar, you’ll be prompted to download your patient enrollment form and make an appointment with our office.
1. Calculate Your BMI
Use our BMI Calculator to test your body mass index and make sure that you’re a good candidate physically for bariatric surgery. If your BMI is over 40 (or over 35 with other weight-related health concerns), then bariatric surgery may be able to help you lose weight, keep it off, and transform your life*. If your BMI is under this number, then more traditional weight loss methods like diet and exercise, possibly supplemented by medical weight loss, may be a better fit for you.
2. Attend a Free Online Seminar
Weight loss is a journey, and we want you to know what to expect before you begin. Our talented team will be there every step of the way on your journey, both before and after weight loss surgery; but you’ll still have to put in the work to lose weight and keep it off. This seminar will tell you exactly what to expect.
If your family’s not convinced that bariatric surgery is the right path for you, you can encourage them to go through the seminar with you. Dr. Long answers many common objections about bariatric surgery, and stresses the safety of the procedures and his dedication to giving each patient an excellent outcome. He’s also available by phone for any questions you or your family may have after the seminar.
3. Schedule Your Appointment
After you go through your online seminar, you’ll be prompted to download and submit your patient enrollment form. Then just call us, email us, or fill out a contact form and we’ll get in touch to schedule an appointment.
Fast Track Program
After your initial sign up, most patients wait between 3 and 6 months before going through bariatric surgery. This wait time is mandated by insurance providers. However, if for some reason you cannot wait that long before surgery, our Fast Track program lets you sign up and go through your surgery in just under a month.
Am I Eligible For the Fast Track Program?
Here are the criteria for entry in the program:
- Cash payment only. Insurance providers mandate a three to six month waiting period between program sign up and having bariatric surgery.
- No smoking.
- No serious limiting medical issues.
If you meet these criteria, consider signing up for our Fast Track program to accelerate your weight loss*.
