What Is A Bariatric Surgeon?
A bariatric surgeon is a surgeon specializing in obesity treatment. Also called a bariatric doctor or bariatric physician, a bariatric surgeon offers surgical procedures to reduce the size of your stomach and the amount of calories absorbed from eating. This enables you to lose weight, keep it off, and reclaim your quality of life.*
We realize that there’s more to weight loss than surgery, and we retain a wide range of specialists to help you on every step of your journey. Before weight loss surgery, our comprehensive care team will meet with you to understand your unique psychological, social, and dietary needs.
